Maneuver detection

See what
others can't.

Automated detection of orbital maneuvers across the tracked catalog. Know who moved, when, and where.

Read the paper
  • 92.2% precision — validated against laser-ranging ground truth
  • 96.3% on high-confidence detections
  • Works on any tracked object — no operator data needed
  • Historical maneuver timeline for any satellite in the catalog

Sign up to make it yours.

Browse the whole catalog with no account. Create one (it is free) to keep your work and track what matters to you.

Watchlists that stick

Group the objects you care about into named lists. They sync to your account and follow you across devices.

Your own objects

Paste a TLE or ephemeris and propagate your satellites live, right alongside the public catalog.

Alerts

Get notified when a watched object maneuvers, reenters, or has a close approach.

Embed the engine

Drop the WebGPU visualization into your product, white-labeled and styled as your own.

Your own objects

Bring proprietary ephemerides or sensor data and track them alongside the public orbital catalog.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Is Vantafort free?
Yes. Browsing the full catalog, conjunction and reentry events, and maneuver detections is free with no account. A free account adds watchlists, alerts, and lets you track your own objects.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Vantafort runs entirely in your browser: open the platform and the full catalog is live in seconds. There is nothing to download and no license to buy.
What do I need to run it?
Just a browser. Vantafort runs on all modern browsers, using WebGPU to propagate the entire catalog on your GPU. Nothing to install, no minimum spec.
Where does the orbital data come from?
From the US Space Force's public satellite catalog, via Space-Track. Elements are refreshed continuously, and every position you see is propagated live from the most recent set, not replayed from stored tracks.
How accurate is the tracking?
Propagation runs the full SGP4/SDP4 specification, including deep-space corrections, validated to sub-55-meter mean error against the standard Vallado reference test suite. Maneuver detection is validated against ILRS laser-ranging ground truth at 92.2% precision. Both methods are published, with full error analysis, in our research.
Can I track my own satellite?
Yes. With a free account you can paste a TLE or ephemeris and your object is propagated live alongside the public catalog in every view.
